We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Housing Supply Officer , on a 3- month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £22 per Hour Responsibilities: To allocate temporary accommodation for homeless applicants and control all activities leading to admissions and discharges in order to achieve high degree of customer satisfaction. Promote and sell Council schemes by organising and coordinating regular publicity events, including the Landlords Forum. Maintain a database of all landlords who have enquired into letting their property to the Council and follow up and encourage them to supply properties. Monitor allocation and manage the use of variety of temporary accommodation placement. Maintain daily void list of available temporary accommodation. Analyse data from a variety of sources to identify acquisition opportunities within private rented sector. Qualifications: Knowledge of Temporary Accommodation (TA) and the issues affecting people living in TA, their aspirations and vulnerability. Knowledge of housing benefit rules and regulations, welfare benefits and issues relating to private rented tenancies. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and undertaking/monitoring risk backssments and housing inspections. Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
