At voco Grand Central Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Reception Manager… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. Being flexible would be a great plus – you will be required to work a variety of shifts across Monday to Sunday including weekends and bank holidays! We are paying from £30,000.00 to £32,500.00 per annum based on expereince, all hours worked paid for. Please note that this is a maternity cover role, fixed for 9-months with opportunity for extension dependent on business needs. As a Reception Manager your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting our Front Office Manager to lead our team of receptionists, managing the shift you are working, coordinating rotas and coaching and developing the team. You will also be largely involved with high-level guest service recoveries, problem solving with any issues which do arise. In the absence of our Front Office Manager, you will be covering their duties. As our ‘Loyalty Champion’ you will own the process and ensure the reception team are equipped with the knowledge and tools to promote our loyalty programme. To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: Team Leader, Supervisor or Assistant Manager experience within a Front Office department (ideally within a 4 or 5 Hotel of a similar environment) Confidence in coaching and developing employees, able to build strong relationships with a diverse team (experience with recruitment would also be a plus! ) Knowledge of Opera is preferred, along with strong IT skills learnt within a similar role Strong communication skills, able to communicate with Guests of all backgrounds and deal with service recoveries in a calm and efficient manner Overall, willingness to work as a team and support our Front Office Manager to continue managing our excellent Front Office colleagues!
