Underwriting Team Leader Salary: £45,000 per annum + Annual Bonus Location: Bournemouth Hybrid Working Options available Hours: 37 ½ hours per week – Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm Contract: Full Time, Permanent Our client, a global brokerage firm, is looking for an experienced Underwriting Team Leader to join their team in Bournemouth. Underwriting Team Leader Salary: £45,000 per annum + Annual Bonus Location: Bournemouth Hybrid Working Options available Hours: 37 ½ hours per week – Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm Contract: Full Time, Permanent Our client, a global brokerage firm, is looking for an experienced Underwriting Team Leader to join their team in Bournemouth. As an Underwriting Team Leader, you will provide leadership and support for a team of four experienced Underwriting professionals and will be the main escalation point. Main responsibilities: To work alongside and support the Underwriting & Operations Manager whilst managing the process and performance of a team of 4 Underwriters. Deal with complex referrals when needed. Champion compliance and adhere to internal and external regulations. Provide oversight and technical support to your colleagues. Act as the main escalation point for the team and support on how to resolve any issues to a satisfactory conclusion. Manage and stay on top of the teams workloads and allocate accordingly to make sure standards are maintained. Run monthly performance meetings, carry out regular s with the team and annual performance reviews and appraisals. MI reporting and presentations to internal stakeholders. Required Skills/Experience: Previous people management experience is essential Previous experience of underwriting within the insurance industry, as is having worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLAs. Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII would be an advantage. Educated to GCSE. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
