Material Handler Job Purpose: Under direction, performs a variety of receiving and inventory activities, stores and distributes supplies and equipment to other departments. Duties: Receives and inspects all incoming raw materials and supplies and then distributes to the appropriate department or stocks into the warehouse inventory. Maintains complete inventory cards and records for all inventory items and builds steel kits as needed to supply production. Maintain constant flow of materials to the production floor and to meet the customer's demand. Skills/Qualifications: Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing or carrying materials on a consistent basis and for long periods of time. Must be able to read and implement basic work instructions. Must understand basic inventory and warehouse practices. Must be able to safely and competently operate a forklift. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Follow drug free workplace policy. Preferred experienced in large load capacity boat trailers, box trucks for example (26 feet +) to include moving and manipulating in designated areas to and from. Position Requirements: Must have a clean driving record. Experience with moving boat trailers or equipment comparable. Ability to work in inclement weather conditions . Must be able to perform equipment inspections before and after use. Position availability must include Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Hours fluctuate to include some overtime and possible Saturday work. Highschool diploma/GED required. 2 years’ experience working in industrial, manufacturing environment preferred.
