Sylvan Learning is the industry leader in providing supplemental education to children in pre-kindergarten through college. We are looking for advanced math tutors to provide individualized instruction to students in middle and high school. As a part time Instructor, your primary job is just teaching. No lesson plans. No preparation. You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, 3:1 setting. You will provide personalized instruction in your area of expertise. As a successful Instructor, you will: *Teach using Sylvan based programs *Supervise, interact with and motivate students during instruction *Reward students for their efforts *Evaluate and document progress *Communicate student needs to the center manager We require: * Bachelor's degree in math * State level teaching certification (current or expired) preferred but not required Hourly compensation is comensurate with experience and depends on ability and willingness to teach other subjects.
