Description:
Inspects, validates, and otherwise processes and stores incoming materials in support of the production floor and to route, weigh, wrap and move product and support all functions of the materials and quality department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to established safety policies, procedures and practices. Supports the organizations effort toward continuous improvement. Supports the organizations goals and values. Demonstrates teamwork by collaborating with others to improve overall standards of performance and service. Interpret blueprints and routers as well as customer, federal and/or engineering specifications. Provides good customer service. Conducts incoming inspection requirements per procedures. Ability to work with inventory control, team leaders and supervision to achieve maximum storage capability. Ensures complete, legible documentation of all quality records, as well as prepare necessary inspection and performance reports, and nonconformance tags pertaining to the quality procedures. Identifies and/or segregates nonconforming material as required. Verifies received materials for valid purchase order and correct quantity. Applies correct KAN BAN identification and stores quality approved material in the proper location. Weigh and stage shipments; occasionally load trucks. QUALIFICATIONS- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below Strong initiative, good communication skills, proactive problem solving abilities and detail oriented. Ability to use measuring instructions (ie, Tape Measure, Micrometers, Scale Rulers, etc.) Previous experience in Microsoft office computer programs such as Word, Excel and email, windows and AS400 system. Previous quality experience. Work as a team member in a group setting. Follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations, employee handbook and housekeeping rules. Mathematical skills required. Employee must regularly lift and or move 40lbs, frequently move and lift 25 lbs. Must have reliable transportation, proven work history with no attendance issues and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
