We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to fulfil a Project Supervisor contract role on a water treatment facility based in the Poplar area of London. This is a temporary position, for around six months, operating outside of IR35 regulations and with the primary responsibility of resolving mechanical engineering issues within a dynamic environment filled with pipes and pumps. This is a temporary position, for around six months, operating outside of IR35 regulations and with the primary responsibility of resolving mechanical engineering issues within a dynamic environment filled with pipes and pumps. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and address mechanical engineering issues promptly to ensure the smooth operation of the water treatment facility. • Utilise technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve problems related to pumps, pipes, and other mechanical systems. • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential roadblocks, implementing solutions to ensure project time-lines are met. • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to optimise processes and improve efficiency within the facility. • Ensure compliance of all works on site with Health and Safety regulations. Requirements: • Proven experience working in a similar role within a Process environment – Chemical / Water / Brewery etc. • Technical competence in mechanical engineering principles and practices and happy to be hands on if required. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. • Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying and addressing potential challenges before they escalate.
