The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP law, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution, with a focus on computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields. Experience in design engineering with a chip company is desirable. Candidates with expertise in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies are preferred. Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required, and bar licensure in California is considered advantageous.Duties:Drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Conducting legal research and analysis related to patent law and intellectual property matters.Collaborating with inventors and clients to identify patentable inventions and develop patent strategies.Managing patent portfolios and providing strategic advice on IP matters.Participating in patent litigation and enforcement proceedings when necessary.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.Experience in IP law, specifically drafting and patent prosecution.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Familiarity with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or similar technologies.Admission to the USPTO.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.Certifications:Admission to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal software and tools for patent prosecution and management.
