US Retail Development Manager

Job Description: * Manage the interface with customer services and the customer's supply chain to ensure seamless communication and fulfillment of customer fill rate requirements. * Interface effectively with the U-Pol supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting and manufacturing alignment with customer requirements. * Oversee the activities of field staff engaged in creating demand through the professional channel, ensuring a cohesive pull strategy for our products. * Interface with marketing teams to align on product assortment strategies, ensuring they resonate with market demand and contribute to effective demand creation. * Collaborate with marketing on the development of online strategies, including multi-channel selling via customer platforms. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.Qualifications: * Degree qualified with at least 10-12 years experience working with 'big-box' retailers in a consumer products environment. Some understanding of Automotive retailers may be desirable, but not essential * Highly numerate (we may wish to conduct a numeracy test as part of the interview process and candidates should be in the 80th percentile +) * Can demonstrate tangible examples of working from store level to board level, and being comfortable communicating in any of these environments * Candidate, should be highly ambitious with an ability and desire to progress from their entry role into Axalta, at least 2 further work levels * Candidate should be able to demonstrate multiple examples of 'gaining share' in the categories/businesses in which they compete today, and articulate what they have done to win? * Candidate should be able to demonstrate multiple examples of trading negotiations/deals/contracts that they have successfully concluded, and how this has driven the increased profitability of businesses they work in today or in the recent past * Candidate should be able to demonstrate how they have effectively managed conversations on price * Candidate needs to be resilient, a team player, honest/transparent, and have a very strong drive for results * Candidate needs to be comfortable with both effectively managing a portfolio of customers that deliver $30m in sales and that has grown 3 fold in the last 2 years, but also in identifying new growth opportunities within these established customers, and developing new relationships in both the Automotive Hard Parts retailers, but also in the DIY/Hardware channel, across the US, Canada & potentially MexicoOur Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
