The highly engineered and custom-built pumps are made of a wide variety of exotic materials and span an envious range of both centrifugal and positive displacement technologies.Job Title: Director of Aftermarket & Services Location: Warren, MAPosition SummaryThe Director Aftermarket & Services is a key leadership position in the business unit. The position is part of the CIRCOR - Warren leadership team and reports directly to the VP/GM of the business unit. The position is responsible for devising and executing a proactive aftermarket / repair business strategy with a focus on topline growth, flawless implementation, and customer excitement, and is an end-to-end role (order intake through invoicing). A focus on opportunities to drive additional business through organic growth and/or acquisition will be of critical importance. The responsibilities include analysis and execution of expansion of services, potential expansion of service centers, potential partnerships, etc. with an eye to overall growth in this space. Both internal and external process development and improvement will be within scope. A close collaboration with other internal departments is a clear expectation (commercial, finance, operations, supply chain).Primary Activities * Develop and execute sales growth strategies and initiatives to support the business' vision and goals, increasing revenue, driving major improvements in delivery performance, and improving aftermarket / service margins. * Identify necessary organizational changes to the aftermarket team and execute the transformation on an accelerated timeline. * With "voice of the customer" as the guiding principle of the position, review the existing service center framework (east coast waterfront services; west coast waterfront services; Warren internal repair center for pumps and valves); identify and recommend necessary changes; execute on changes necessary to deliver customer satisfaction in all respects. * Develop stocking strategy for finished goods and components to exceed customer delivery expectations. * Develop extensive knowledge of global markets and competition in aftermarket and repair space. * Collaborate with customers to identify CIRCOR's value proposition and drive pricing and service accordingly. * Establish deep knowledge of product lifecycle and leverage opportunities at each stage of the customer relationship. * Review opportunities to work with distributors and distribution networks. Prepare business cases, advocate for approvals, and execute accordingly where advantages exist. * Identify and implement clear strategies to develop industrial aftermarket business. * Lead strategic pricing efforts in coordination with other CIRCOR resources. * Establish, support, train, and manage any external partners to support our products. * Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of equipment through own team or network partners. * Collaborate cross-functionally on continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business. * Ensure / track / monitor customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis. Maintain up-to-date customer reference lists by product line with contact names for sales and support. Provide necessary data into CIRCOR Operating System reports, updates to senior leadership, and as requested. * Contribute as member of the leadership team to execute the mid- and long-term growth strategy; positively represent the CIRCOR values and relevant leadership values. * Collaborate with additional CIRCOR sites to understand commonalities and potential synergies. Identify and recommend synergistic opportunities. Own and execute any intercompany efforts, potential transfers of work, or collaborative support opportunities. Job Requirements:Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in an engineering or business discipline. Experience should be focused on fluid handling processes/equipment and/or successful operation of aftermarket and service businesses. * Minimum 7-10 years' experience in aftermarket / service roles, preferably employed directly by globally represented OEMs for rotating equipment (such as pumps, valves, compressors and related fluid systems) and ideally familiar with API specifications, military/defense businesses, and customer interaction. Knowledge Skills & Abilities * Strong influential leadership competencies to organize and motivate teams in a complex organizational structure. * Positive experience in change management, with relevant examples. * Clear strategic thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans. * Very good communication, presentation and negotiation skills with ability to perform technical presentations to experienced engineers. * Customer orientation and experience in winning and keeping customers. * Focused approach, target oriented and a high degree of engagement required. * Must be fluent in written and spoken English. * Must be able to pass background check. * Willing to travel as needed, primarily domestically within the USA. .Other * US Citizen; no visa sponsorship or dual citizenship due to the nature of the client,CIRCOR is an EEO Employer of Females / Minorities / Veterans / Individuals with DisabilitiesGet job alerts by email.
