Nova Scotia Environment – Department About Our Opportunity This position provides principal administrative support for the office. You will provide service, direction, guidance, and information on processes applicable to the Department, to the public and other government agencies. You will be required to process various forms and financial transactions. Several computer applications will be used to enter confidential information, generate documents, and complete financial processes. The office maintains both physical and electronic filing for the multitude of programs under the mandate of the Department. Primary Accountabilities Within a typical day, you will: Accurately respond to (internal and external) requests for information and assistance. Enter complaints and applications into a database a system. Create, track, file and retrieve information from electronic and physical files. Process financial transactions. Processes incoming and outgoing mail according to departmental polices and procedures. Process Environmental Registry and FOIPOP requests within a specified time frame. Purchase and maintain.
