The position Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate information to business leaders and their teams. This is a key role supporting the year end review engagement, annual budgets and forecasts, and analysis. The Financial Accountant is a diverse role that supports all areas of the business, including manufacturing, logistics and our three sales channels (Ecommerce, Retail and Strategic Partnerships). This position provides valuable information and insights into business performance which will enable us to meet our growth objectives. The Financial Accountant works from our Workshop in Canmore, Alberta or in a hybrid capacity. What you'll be doing Lead the period end and year end close process and ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with ASPE Assist the Financial Controller in the period end and year end reviews of financial statements, post adjustments and accruals, and respond to inquiries regarding variances versus budget Assist the Financial Controller in preparing financial management reports for the period, quarter, and other ad hoc reports Reconcile, analyze, and.
