Description The NRVCS Jail Diversion Team is seeking a dedicated professional to join in treating and supporting criminal justice involved adults. The clinician with jail services works as part of a mutli-disciplinary team in providing services to incarcerated individuals and supports them in transitioning to the community setting. The clinician can provide a wide range of services including short-term interventions and assessment, medication management supports, substance use treatment, and coordination of care, post-release. NRVCS provides continuing education, licensure supervision, and competitive benefits. The ideal candidate is someone with interest in both the criminal justice system as well as the ever-changing field of mental health care. If this is you, we would love to add you to the team!Program Clinician I: Starting Salary: $46,015-Depending on Experience * Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field is required. * LMHP-E Program Clinician II: Starting Salary: $55,683-Depending on Experience * Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field is required. * LMHP Qualifications * Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment for mental health and SUD diagnoses (Seeking Safety, MET, CRA, and A-CRA). Thorough knowledge of the DSM-5, etiology, symptoms, treatments, and ASAM placement criteria. * Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving, critical-thinking ability and work autonomously as well as part of a treatment team. Should be able to recognize early escalation of symptoms and/or situations and respond appropriately with Crisis Intervention. * Must have basic knowledge of agency, local, state, and federal regulations, and standards for clinical services, and related human rights, ethical and legal concerns. * Must have demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and oral); especially helpful for teaching consumers and family members. * Knowledge of pertinent medical, legal and financial terminology. Knowledge of psycho-pharmacology, psychotropic medication and administration helpful. * Basic working knowledge of computers and word processing. * Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment. * Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment; * Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire. Education/Experience Required: * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other related field is required. * State of Virginia license eligibility in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family or other related field, is required. QMHP status or eligibility is helpful. * At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities, is required * Experience working with substance use disorders and those with SMI required. * Must complete Pre-Screener Certification within 180 days of employment Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.
