Positions and Shifts: Multiple Positions on Day Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Compensation: Depends on Experience. Responsibilities: The responsibilities for the rewarding position of Mechanical Assembler at Ben Machine Products will include the following: Adjust and use appropriate tools and fixtures to assemble aerospace and defence components as required by relevant drawings and process plans. Follow internal, customer and manufacturer assembly instructions, processes and procedures. Pull and control all hardware and components that may be needed to complete a work order. Operate all tools and machinery with all safety precautions in place. Where required, measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance. Regularly lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds. Frequently sit, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. All other duties as assigned. Experience: We are looking for candidates with the following minimum experience: 3+ years' experience in mechanical assembly or a similar mechanical field required. High school diploma required, college preferred. Experience with helicoil, standoff and rivet insertion. Previous aerospace experience preferred. Previous jobbing shop experience preferred.
