Purpose The Remote Operations Centre (ROC) Operator is responsible for directing, monitoring, and coordinating the operation of Liberty Power’s renewable fleet from the 24/7 Remote Operations Center. The ROC Operator (Co-op) ensures that the operations of renewable fleet comply with all applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and practices. The ROC Operator (Co-op) will work independently with guidance only in complex situations and will be responsible for all shift related activities and will implement programs and processes and oversee monitoring of the renewable assets under the ROC control, and ensure proper operation, preventive, and predictive maintenance in accordance with all laws and regulations and in accordance with Liberty Power’s safety policies and procedures. Under the direction of the ROC manager, the ROC operator (Co-op) is an individual who will support the operations of the 24/7 ROC, encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and productivity, and enhancing the daily efficiency of Liberty Power’s renewables fleet. Accountabilities Conducting studies on major generation loss factors Creating databases for historical alarm analysis Assisting in the creation and maintenance of operational manuals, procedure documents, training materials Managing and organizing data related to wind and solar operations Assisting in the creation and maintenance of operational manuals, procedure documents, training materials Identifying and quantifying major alarms contributing to losses Tracking major component failures.
