Material Handler - Warping Utility

General description The Warping Utility - Material Handler is primarily responsible for the flow of materials in and out the warping room. Key responsibilities Keep the warping floor clean and organized; Manage general housekeeping and waste disposal in and around the weaving floor and yarn warehouse areas; Break down yarn boxes, stacking pallets, tray-packs, etc.; Load yarn; Take off waste tubes; Load empty beams for material handler; Work together with previous and next shift's personnel; Safely operate a fork truck; Load and unload trucks and/or containers of material from time to time; Perform the job safely in accordance with the JHA; Perform general housekeeping duties; Other duties as assigned. Skills required Basic knowledge of different yarn types Ability to lift up to 75lbs. Ability to walk and stand for 12 hours daily Ability to bend and stretch Excellent eyesight and ability to distinguish patterns, colors and shades Ability to perform detailed tasks with minimal errors Self-starter mentality and strong work ethic Team player Communication skills Basic English speaking, writing and reading skills Basic arithmetic and computer skills Experience Minimum of one year of previous utility/material handler experience preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro
