Virginia Health Services is committed to supporting individuals living their best life and is excited to announce that we are currently hiring for a Full Time , Central Admissions Coordinator, LPN f or our Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers ! The Admissions Coordinator, LPN has the following responsibilities: Screen potential residents from multiple referral sources, while making final decisions regarding admissions acceptance. Process benefit checks and obtain authorization needed for admission into a facility. Confirm all insurance benefits meets the given standard of admissions. Provide verification and documentation of new resident admission per facility, including medical information and preliminary paperwork. Communicate imperative information to residents and family members regarding insurance copays. Conduct reporting to project admissions per facility. Maintain a collaborative work environment by working directly with facility staff to ensure appropriate resident placement. Ensure compliance with all established policies and procedures. Promoting and demonstrating positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents, and visitors. Performing other duties as assigned. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current Virginia license . Bachelor's degree or higher in health care related field preferred. Valid Driver's License is required. Computer knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology. Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, residents, visitors, and family members. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, turn, bend, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Must be able to lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds. Risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens and hazardous materials. Why join Virginia Health Services?
