Description:

DUTIES: Works under the general supervision of the Streets/Storm Drain/Landfill Superintendent and the direct supervision of the Solid Waste Lead Equipment Operator performing various tasks as the Payson City Landfill. Directs cars, trucks and commercial sanitation and other commercial trucks to the appropriate unloading site and operates scales to weigh, record and determine appropriate charges to vehicles bringing refuse to the landfill. Performs a variety of clerical and first-line public contact duties to authorize admittance to landfill. Deals with public complaints; apprises public of landfill requirements and fees; resolves issues face-to-face or seeks supervisory assistance. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 18 years. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: One-year experience in customer service industry. Strong basic math and cash receipting preferred. License: Valid Utah Driver's License. SCHEDULE: This position primary works Fridays and Saturdays during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Fall/Winter Hours) and 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Spring/Summer Hours).
