CIVIL CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN/SUPERVISOR Supervision experience in a wide variety of civil construction. Applicant must have a proven comprehensive understanding and a working knowledge of construction documents including construction specifications, and detailed construction drawings. Primary Job Functions : Must be able to read, understand, prioritize and schedule all construction activities including: Implementing health safety, storm water and pollution prevention plans Planning and scheduling of work – coordinate with project manager all labor, materials and equipment needs. Motivate labor force, operators and laborers, to successful completion of assigned project. Maintaining construction schedules – plan ahead and understand priorities of work. Recognize and Evaluate changes in contracted scope of work and site conditions. Maintain a set of as-built drawings Must have experience and broad knowledge of Civil Construction Must be able to operate various pieces of equipment, Be “hands on” and be responsible as needed to successful completion of assigned project. Must be a good communicator with the rest of the crew as well as the project manager . Required Skills: Able to do various earthmoving and site development operations Mass grade – cut and fill to designed elevations Read survey staking, shoot grades and read civil plans for drainage Work with various subgrade materials, clay, aggregates, topsoil etc. Excavate and prepare trench safely Handle and work with various pipe materials – place in trench Backfill and compaction of subgrade materials Level and finish to designed grades Experience operating the following equipment is preferred Motor Grader / Dozer Loader / Skid Steer Excavator Laser level / GPS / and misc. hand tools & small equipment Vibr atory Roller and other compaction equipment Minimum Experience: 10 years in construction trades 3 to 5 years as supervisor / foreman Compensation: Compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience Must possess current valid driver license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check Strata Corporation is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their veteran status, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, color, national origin, age, religion, or any other characteristic protected under local, state or federal statute, ordinance, or regulation.
