POSITION: CIVIL FOREMAN, ALBUQUERQUE, NM SCOPE Southwest Concrete Paving is looking for an experienced civil and earthwork foreman having primary responsibilities including but not limited to plan reading and project organization and sequencing, interfacing with site inspectors, obtaining and implementing required permitting, managing subcontractors, organizing and directing a work crew and inspecting and maintaining equipment. We are seeking an individual with experience in all aspects of earthwork. This position is based in Albuquerque, NM, and may require travel to other areas. The qualified candidate will be able to effectively lead a three to four-man crew constructing a new parking apron in Albuquerque. This work is on an active airfield and requires the applicant's ability to obtain access to military base. Local residence is preferred, but not a prerequisite. COMPENSATION $36-$44 hourly DOE Company Vehicle Provided Subsistence for out of area work Company provided ipad for plan reading Company provided insurance options 401K options SCOPE OF WORK Concrete demolition and removal Earthwork over excavation and removal Earthwork grading and compaction Aggregate base grading and compaction Dust abatement Materials handling Concrete formwork PRIMARY DUTIES Supervise and manage work crews Foster a culture of safety and quality implementing and enforcing applicable standards Ability to read and implement project plans and specifications Ability to schedule work and maintain project schedule working with and around other trades Ability to manage and interface with subcontractors, prime contractors, and owners as applicable Ability to manage on site materials, deliveries, and equipment Oversight of basic day to day operations for pipe work, basic layouts, earthwork, slope laser, survey, etc. Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required Ensure employees complete pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup Other duties as assigned BACKGROUND Valid driver's license is required 5+ years' supervisory experience in similar construction environment Must hold or be able to quickly obtain OSHA 30 certificate Working knowledge of and ability to operate equipment when required Strong leadership skills and work ethic to lead crew.
