Overview: The Medical Records Technician role is a crucial part of the Zion HealthShare team and reports to the Medical Needs Manager. This person will assist in obtaining HIPAA Forms from Members via an electronic signature platform and coordinate records requests with providers. A day on the job may consist of: Accurately preparing medical records requests Sending medical records requests via fax, email, or mail Taking incoming calls related to medical record requests Completes payments for medical record invoices Make outgoing calls to providers Minor accounting duties Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner Assisting Human Resources with payroll tasks Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA standards This may be the right position for you if you are/have: Reliable Prompt Responsible A great communicator Detail oriented Friendly Great at problem-solving A positive attitude High ethical and moral standards This position may be for you if you can: Handle sitting for up to 8 hours a day Handle talking on the phone Experience Preferred Medical knowledge preferred Friendly personality Organized Technology driven Able to work alone Sit for long periods of time Must understand and comply to HIPAA regulations has context menu Work Location: 1141 W Silicon Way, Suite A.
