Come join our growing team for the City of Woodstock as a Recreation Center Attendant (MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE) . Who Are We Looking For? The City of Woodstock is looking for a caring individual to join our team as a Limited Part-Time Rec Center Attendant at the Woodstock Recreation Center. This position is responsible to facilitate a safe and healthy supervised short-term drop-in recreation environment that promotes safe, healthy activities and positive play options for children while the parent/guardian is utilizing the Recreation Center to work out. The position may work up to but no more than 20 hours per week. Woodstock Welcomes You! Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Woodstock is a community unlike any other boasting historic 19th century buildings, dining, entertainment, accommodations, specialty shops, professional services, art galleries, and live theater. The City employs approximately 325 (full, part-time, & seasonal) employees in a variety of departments within the municipality, such as Office of the City Manager, Building & Zoning, Economic Development, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing & Communications, Opera House, Police, Public Library, Public Works, and Recreation. Our employees work to serve the residents with responsive customer service and strive to make the City of Woodstock the best community it can be. Schedule The position may work the following schedules depending on the number of individuals hired and the needs of the Woodstock Recreation Center: Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 11:00am (one or two days) Monday - Thursday: 4:00 pm - 7:00pm Saturday: 8:00am - 10:30am NOTE: This is NOT a seasonal position: Ideally candidates should demonstrate commitment to year-round employment on a set schedule, preferably for a minimum of 1-2 years. For a complete description of responsibilities, please refer to the Job Description attached. Minimum Required Qualifications: 16 years of age and older. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and DCFS Mandated Reporter Certifications upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: Previous childcare or classroom experience. Salary: Wage is $12.60 per hour which will increase to $14.33 as of 5/1/2023 and includes a free Recreation Center membership. There are no additional benefits. Deadline: Open until filled.
