Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator in Alberta, who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of water and wastewater, complying with environmental and health regulations. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment. Monitor control systems and adjust as necessary to ensure efficient operation. Perform routine testing of water and wastewater to ensure compliance with health and environmental standards. Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational problems in the treatment systems. Record and report data related to water quality and system performance. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Participate in emergency response plans and activities as required. Collaborate with team members and contribute to team efforts. Engage in continuous learning and skill development, with a focus on understanding the cultural nuances and needs of the Indigenous communities we serve. Camp and Travel provided Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset. Certification as a Water/Wastewater Operator in Alberta. Experience in water and wastewater treatment operations. Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
