Our staff of over 130 employees, located throughout Nova Scotia, do this by using the Pathways to Compliance to enhance compliance of provincially regulated employees, employers, and contractors through setting, promoting, verifying, and enforcing requirements under various pieces of legislation. About Our Opportunity Do you want to join a team who enjoy brainstorming, solving problems, and bringing new ideas to life? Join our team with the Strategic Planning and Accountability division in the Safety branch and you will be a valuable contributor to: Gain experience in policy analysis such as supporting subject matter experts define problems, define desired results and do options analysis; Conduct research Supporting the development of documents, reports, and submissions to senior leadership. Primary Accountabilities The Policy team of the Strategic Planning and Accountability division of the Safety Branch aids decision making around complex safety issues by providing advice and guidance related to changing social, economic, and political conditions that impact needed public policies that contribute to workplace safety, the safety of regulated equipment for Nova Scotians and in relation to workers compensation in Nova Scotia, so that policy evolves to meet the needs of a changing society.
