Job Title: Executive Chef Location: Lancaster Salary: GBP38,205 to GBP44,263 per year Job type: Full time, indefinite. Closing Date: Saturday 10th February 2024. Interview Date: Monday 19th February 2024. We are looking to appoint an Executive Chef to lead and develop our kitchen team at Lancaster University. You will oversee an existing brigade of 16 chefs across 3 sites on our busy campus. You should have a passion for food along with the ability to train the team to the highest standard and engage with stakeholders of all levels including student cookery classes and VIP dinners. We offer a varied choice of dining across our venues from brunch cafes, catered accommodation and QSR along with high volume, quality conference functions and intimate fine dining dinners. A history of catering for a number of these is essential. The department has aspirations to continually improve the offering across campus, not only in the quality of food but in safety compliance, special diet provision and education to staff and customers. This role will largely be office based however there will be times where operational demands require a presence in the kitchens.
