Data Analyst : GIS Great opportunity to join a team of Analysts working on various Infrastructure projects including Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Location: : Manchester (2:3 days a week in the office / 2:3 days from Home) Salary: : GBP34,000 : GBP38,000 basic Role: The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a client operating across the Transportation sector. Working closely with various stakeholders including Local Authorities, TOCs, Network Rail, Tf N, and the Df T regarding collating and utilising their Transportation data. Collating, analysing, and using the data across the Transportation planning and modelling divisions to carry out technical assurance on various schemes. Day: to: day duties will vary but could include: Develop database systems : Apply knowledge and understanding of the development and design of databases to input source data for business case development. Complete development and analysis of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Understanding of the application of GIS software. Undertake trend based analysis Analyse survey data As directed analyse in detail existing datasets and where appropriate overlay with other data sources to bring the data to life from a geographic perspective. Understand of batching script to run repeated analysis in an efficient manner. Required Experience: Degree qualified Ideally supported by Data analytical modules Experience of being in a company working with data projects. Ideal in the Infrastructure sector (Rail / Highways / Water / Gas / Telecoms) as these sectors actively use GIS software. : You must be living and authorised to work in the UK for this position.
