Purpose Is responsible for their health and safety as well as others. Will correct or report unsafe practices or conditions. Maintains a safe and healthy place to work. Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety and correct issues wherever possible. Will understand and follow Newmont policies and procedures as outlined in the FRM handbook. Learns and follows the safety rules and procedures for safe performance of the job. Essential Duties Must be able to operate forklift Must be able to operate rock breakers Must be able to maintain conveyor way Able to assist with chute blast guarding Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor Training & Experience High School Diploma Minimum of twelve (12) months mining experience Fall arrest training an asset Oxy / Acetylene an asset Underground Common Core Certificate U0013 Operate Lifting Mechanism(s) U0014 Operate Fork Lift U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle U0029 Operate Rock Breaker U0033 Operate Oxyacetylene Equipment U0079 Operate Conveyor U0083 Operate Cage Working Conditions This job is located at Hoyle Pond, part of Newmont's Porcupine mine site near Timmins, ON.
