We are currently seeking to hire and place a number of Loss Prevention professionals for a GTA-wide retailer. Skills/Qualifications: - Preferred to have at least 1 year of Uniformed Security experience in a Retail stores/sites, Malls, College or hospitality sites. - Must have a minimum of a (1) year experience being in a Loss Prevention Role - Be able and willing to work/commute at different sites across Toronto and GTA - Strong communication skills - written and verbal - Valid Security Guard License - Valid CPR License - Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports with meticulous detail and grammar - Willingness to complete all required training modules that include Lawful Subject Restraint, Crisis Management - both of which require annual recertification - Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c) - Conflict Resolution and De-Escalation skills - Ability/willingness to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations - Use of Force Experience/Training is an asset - Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an asset Attributes: - Demonstrated strong observational skills and a strong character/ability - Must be punctual and ability/willingness to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours.
