My client supplies, installs, hires and maintains critical power systems and associated equipment such as generators, UPS systems, switchgear and CHP Combined Heat and Power. They are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to repair, service and maintain their CHP Generators on various sites across the Midlands area. The ideal candidate base location could include Leicester, Coventry, Birmingham, Loughborough or Nottingham The role of Field Service Engineer: - Travelling around the UK, using your engineering and computer skills to carry out routine servicing work on a range of CHPs in the range of 30k W 500k W. - This will be a mixture of scheduled service work and reactive work where you would be the first responder to a breakdown on site. - This role is a fantastic balance of working independently with the backup of a strong support team in the office to enable you to fulfil your role. - You will be part of our wider technical support team that supports both internal colleagues and external customers with a can-do approach. - Ensure that you fully understand the customers requirements prior to visiting site. - Create effective relationships within the Service team and the wider organisation. - Provide detailed Site Reports to the required standard that among other things highlight actions which may need to be taken and seek opportunities for improvement - Maintain regular communications with the Service Team - While on-site observe health and safety.
