Join our Team: Planning Engineer -Permanent, Full Time Are you an experienced and driven Transportation and Storm Water Management Engineer seeking a challenging role with a dynamic organization? Look no further! We are currently recruiting a highly skilled professional to contribute to our team's success. As our Planning Engineer, you will: Lead and complete transportation functional and long-term planning studies as an individual and project team leader. Drive strategic transportation planning projects in conjunction with the Municipal Development Plan process. Prepare engineering analysis, studies, reports, recommendations, estimates, requests for proposals, and tender documents. Review subdivision designs, development permit applications, right-of-way plans, utility servicing proposals, and geotechnical studies. Create, update, and interpret Servicing Standards related to transportation/roadway and stormwater management design practices. Supervises internal technologists, and external consultants or contractors on a project by project basis as specifically assigned. Support and maintain positive communications with government departments, external/internal agencies, other City departments, developers, and the public. Required Competencies: Thorough working knowledge of urban transportation planning, traffic impact analysis, access management, and transportation infrastructure. Working knowledge of civil engineering principles related to stormwater management systems servicing and the land development process. Familiarity with applicable Provincial/Federal Legislation and Regulations. Knowledge of Alberta's Occupational Health, Safety, Environment, and other relevant legislation. Good knowledge of industry standards/guidelines (TAC, Alberta Transportation, etc. ) to address public inquiries related to road and storm infrastructure. Working knowledge of tender and contract principles and practices. Strong ability to express ideas orally. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
