Respect Your Role: Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager of Security Systems Canada, the Commercial Security Systems Technician is responsible for the end-to-end process of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced commercial security systems. Technicians ensure that security infrastructure meets the clients’ specifications and adheres to Garda World’s quality standards. Key Performance Indicators: Days to Service Technician Utilization Rate Technician Billable Time Service Revenue Commercial Technician Responsibilities: Initial Site backssments: Conduct site surveys to determine the most effective installation approach, ensuring all client requirements are met. System Installation: Implement security systems, video surveillance and access control according to design schematics and plans. This includes wiring, equipment setup, and software configuration. Maintenance and Upgrades: Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, software updates, and hardware updates. Participating in annual ULC inspections for both fire monitoring and burglary systems. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime. Quality Assurance: Test the functionality of installed systems to ensure they meet both internal external quality and safety standards.
