Marie , the Civil Designer will report to the Project Manager (Civil Engineering) and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on design and drawing preparation for civil engineering projects. You will be part of a team that provides solutions in a diverse range of engineering, including Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage and Hydrology, Land Development, and Utility Scale Renewable Energy Facilities. What You’ll Do: The Civil Designer will be part of the Engineering team. You will: Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery Prepare preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for various civil engineering projects (Site plans, Servicing drawings, Drainage, Roads and Highways) Perform specification writing Ensure plans are in compliance with applicable standards and drafting requirements Undertake estimation of tender quantities Conduct inspection and contract administration of civil engineering works Complete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.
