Maintenance Engineer Hayes, London Up to £38k Job Purpose: To provide general mechanical maintenance and electrical support within the maintenance department, with a specific focus on the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facility areas. Maintenance Engineer Hayes, London Up to £38k Job Purpose: To provide general mechanical maintenance and electrical support within the maintenance department, with a specific focus on the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facility areas. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and repair all equipment and facility areas to agreed standards, with a keen ability to identify detailed faults. Complete daily checks on machines and equipment, including statutory checks, within approved skills capabilities. Work shifts and provide out-of-hours call-in support. Identify required spares proactively and within specified timescales. Undertake all duties in compliance with Safety, Environmental Regulations, and Company procedures. Maintain an awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures. Working Conditions: Adapt to COMAH SITE working conditions. Flexible working hours, occasional weekend overtime. Handle greases, oils, operate overhead cranes, and understand manual handling. Utilise hand and power tools, maintain a tidy working area. Stand for prolonged periods, lift heavy aircraft components, and handle maintenance components requiring physical strength. Education and Experience: Preferred mechanical or electrical qualification.Extensive experience in plant maintenance. Mechanical/electrical background, working at heights. Knowledge of PVC pipework, pumps, motors, gas ovens, chiller units, rectifiers. Preferred understanding of air handling units/air conditioning.
