Teck is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer-In-Training to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes that produces zinc, lead, silver, cadmium, indium, fertilizers, sulphuric acid and other products. The diversity of the operations offers many challenging technical opportunities to engineers. Engineering graduates are assigned to an Engineer-in-Training Development Program designed to provide a staged progression of learning and development opportunities leading to the position of Maintenance, Reliability, Reactive or Project Engineer. The program addresses the needed competencies, skills and abilities for the EIT to be successful in their job. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, the Mechanical EIT can expect assignments which will familiarize them with the operating requirements and process equipment in various plants. Assignments will rotate between functional groups of Maintenance, Reliability, Reactive, and Project Engineering. Teck Trail Operations offers diverse opportunities for career advancement including senior technical positions and supervisory and management roles. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips!
