For more information, please visit novascotia. ca/natr/ About Our Opportunity As the Manager, Risk Services, you will be responsible for promoting and applying risk-based management concepts and principles to the wildfire management, forest health, aviation services and fleet management programs. The main responsibility will be with wildfire management and forest health. Through the management of a dedicated group of diverse professional staff, you will develop, implement and evaluate risk and hazard management systems for natural disturbances including, but not limited to, wildfires, insect and diseases, climate change/adaption and forest health. You will be responsible for leadership in forest protection business planning, project management, program evaluation and performance measurement with government and non-government agencies, as well as training of forest professionals to incorporate protection into forest resource management. Specifically, you will be accountable for the science, technology and business planning components of the provincial forest protection programs.
