Are you ready to suit up? Garda World is currently seeking experienced security manager applicants to join our team as a dedicated Site Manager to lead our security professionals at Metropolis at Metrotown. The dedicated Site Manager is a uniformed position reporting to the Operations Manager for Garda World’s Pacific Region. Responsibilities include managing contract operations, a team of security professionals, as well as overseeing call response and day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures, and position directives. Interested applicants must be able and willing to work weekends and afternoon shifts. Pay rate: $35 - $38/hour What you'll be doing: Manage on-site security team of 50+ members Ensure interior and exterior patrols are completed in accordance with operating procedures Retain and develop your security team, ensuring necessary training is completed and documented Collaborate with client and on-site operation teams to ensure smooth business Generate site statistics and operational KPIs Enforce property rules, city bi-laws, and other applicable laws Deter and respond to incidents on property Maintain a presence to ensure the safety and security of all persons on site Complete reports to Garda World and client management Respond to various types of emergencies (fire alarms/elevator entrapments/medical emergencies/arrests when applicable) Ability to coach, mentor and develop the team members for successful career development Other duties required as assigned What we offer: Set schedules (operationally flexible) Ongoing training and development Excellent benefits Diverse work assignments Opportunity for growth What we're looking for: 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment Excellent oral and written communication skills (English an asset) Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Valid security guard license and first aid card Available to work flexible hours Have a.
