For more information visit cch. novascotia. ca / About Our Opportunity As the Physical Activity Lead (Program Admin Officer 4), you will support the implementation of Let’s Get Moving Nova Scotia, an action plan for increasing physical activity in Nova Scotia. The position works collaboratively, both internally and externally, using best practices and being well informed by emerging trends that enable a range of services including: Providing guidance and expertise to provincial organizations, municipalities and communities in the development of physical activity and active transportation initiatives as well as initiatives to break up sedentary time; Supporting partnership building including assisting in workplace, school, community and healthcare physical activity settings; Coordinating resources and efforts aimed to facilitate participation in physical activity; Informing and enabling strategy and policy development; Collaborating on inter-departmental activities; and Assisting and providing leadership to planning and evaluation initiatives. As the Physical Activity Lead, you are responsible for coordinating and supporting programs and services that aim to improve population levels of physical activity and contribute to a culture of movement in Nova Scotia.
