Your Job INVISTA's Maitland site produces DYTEK®A amine and DCH-00, both chemical intermediates used globally in products such as polyamide plastics, fibers, adhesives, curing agents, polyurethanes, vitamins, medicals, and epoxy resins. Maitland Site also operates Cogeneration Units, a Hydrogen Plant and Utilities operation. Our Maitland, Ontario facility is seeking a Site Service Trainee. The starting rate for a Site Services Trainee is $23.66. This position is in a line of progression with the top rate of $33.25 (transition through the line of progression within 18 months). Our Team Site Services is a motivated, reliable, and dynamic Team. Members of the Site Services Team or Manufacturing Service Operators handle, package, and move hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely and efficiently in many different means of containment across the Site. Working together as a Team is critical and members are continually improving and delivering peak performance for the perfect compliant shipment every time. What You Will Do Operation of heavy equipment and trucks used in materials movement by both rail and road (Diesel locomotive, Track Mobile, Shunt Trucks, Payloader) Performing operations in a DYTEK®A amine drum filling operation Responsibility for grounds maintenance (snow clearing and lawn mowing) Perform mechanical inspections, repair, and perform minor maintenance on all machinery and equipment Operating two-way radios and other communication equipment Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Prior experience as a heavy equipment operator Prior experience operating motor vehicles Demonstrate a basic knowledge and satisfactory level of mechanical comprehension. Physical condition and health compatible with duties of this role Able to work in a tobacco-free environment Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle for travel to and from the Site What Will Put You Ahead Previous manufacturing.
