We seek an enthusiastic teaching assistant eager to provide assistance to secondary school children. Your role will involve supporting children aged 11:14 on a full: time basis, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The school is located in the LS9 area of Leeds. The school warmly embraces and supports each child, fostering independence and motivation. Roles and Responsibilities: Oversee children with special educational needs (SEND) and additional learning needs (ALN), ensuring their safety and participation in learning while comprehending presented information. Assist in implementing personalised educational plans aligned with individual learning goals. Foster trust with all children and communicate in ways that match their comprehension. Advocate inclusion, diversity, and equal access to learning, while nurturing a sense of belonging. Encourage classroom engagement, interaction, and sustain children involvement. Cultivate opportunities for fostering independence. Establish a focused, organised, and supportive classroom environment. Requirements: Proficient grasp of the national Key Stage Curriculum. Familiarity with diverse teaching techniques suitable for children with special educational needs. Sound understanding of child growth and learning.
