Position Posting Lifeguard/Instructor - Seasonal (2 Positions Available) Term of Employment: 2 Positions: Full-Time Seasonal Term: (15-20 hours May 21, 2024 – July 1, 2024, & July 2, 2024 – August 18, 2024; 40 hours ) Current Location: Bioclean Aquatic Centre Rate of Pay: Band 2 Lifeguard/Instructor : $23.88 - $26.07 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement) Duties: The Lifeguard/Instructor maintains the safety of pool patrons, providing necessary supervision and protection for swimmers, in accordance with recognized Lifeguard procedures. The Lifeguard/Instructor will: Educate the public regarding policies and procedures related to patron safety. Monitor patron activities in the swimming pools to prevent accidents and injuries. Enforce facility rules to maintain safety and proper use of facility and equipment. Maintain the order and proper conduct of people using the facility. React to emergent situations; perform first aid as required. Maintain public and staff safety. Participate in the City of Lloydminster’s Safety Management System. Perform daily pool maintenance duties. Instruct swimmers in the swim for life program; teach swim skills, strokes and water safety. Provide a safe and learning-friendly environment for swimmers. Work with swimmers of all ages and abilities. Develop strategies to communicate with swimmers of all ages. Create enjoyable learning situations and experiences. Create lessons plans for each swim lesson. Maintain the attention of the children. This position involves the assignment of alternate relevant duties on occasion. Schedule: This position works shifts, consisting of mornings, days and evenings. The ability to work weekends is required. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: National Lifeguard Certification (NL). Swim for Life Instructor. Standard First Aid/CPR C. Ability to maintain physical standards required of the National Lifeguard Certification; able to stand. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
