Position Overview Reporting to the Lead Architect, the Senior Architectural Technologist performs the role of a technical lead source, utilizing time management skills to manage multiple assignments while utilizing industry software to develop technical documents and drawings. The Senior Architectural Technologists is a key member of the design team and play a vital role in turning the design ideas of architects and engineers into practical, workable buildings. They may also research building codes, test building materials for suitability, calculate cost estimates, build models based on architects’ designs, manage projects and oversee construction projects by monitoring and inspecting the work of builders. Duties & Responsibilities Produce, analyze and advise on detailed design specifications for certain projects and assist the Lead Architect and/or Senior Management with day-to-day architectural activities on projects; Assist in the development of architectural designs by preparing and presenting architectural proposals using computer-aided design and traditional methods; Liaise with the team and professional consultants to backss what surveys are required before work commences Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other project team members, ensuring documents are accurate, well detailed, and as clear as possible.
