Based in the Greater Toronto Area, the Survey Crew Chief (Technologist) will report to the Discipline Manager, Infrastructure & Mining, and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on supporting construction and infrastructure development in Southern Ontario. You will be part of a team that provides a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning. What You’ll Do: The Survey Crew Chief (Technologist) will be part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team. You will: Perform high-precision surveys such as: industrial layout, deformation monitoring, levelling, and static control network surveys Collect field data using traditional survey instruments such as total station and high precision levels as well as GPS field equipment Oversee QC of data collection, ensuring that field notes and daily downloads are complete Collect terrestrial scanning data or have an aptitude and willingness to learn this Interact with clients while onsite Mentor and train new field staff Have opportunities to work on proposals, reports, and producing deliverables Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.
