POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Vice President, Communications, the Director, Proposals is a key member of ROM Governors' communications team, specializing in fundraising communications. This role demands a blend of excellent research and writing skills, along with strong project management capabilities. The Director's primary focus is developing persuasive proposal materials that align with the organization's philanthropic strategy. Their responsibilities also extend to supporting the creation of other communication assets and representing the Communications department in strategy sessions and meetings. The Director is adept at translating complex ideas into engaging language, showcasing a talent for interviewing, editing, and presentation, with a keen eye for visual details and digital trends. This position requires effective collaboration with design colleagues and content providers, and the ability to present projects to senior leadership confidently. Experience in philanthropic proposal writing, journalism, and design skills, while not mandatory, are highly valued in this role. The Director, Proposals plays a pivotal role in advancing ROM Governors' mission through strategic and impactful communication. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the Proposal Development.
