As a result of our continued growth and expansion, an immediate opportunity for a Geospatial Technologist currently exists in our Surrey Head office to join our Survey and Geomatics group. Reporting to the Survey Manager, the Geospatial Technologist will act as the team’s technical expert in geomatics, training team members as needed and contributing to Aplin Martin’s development of the discipline. Specialized software and strong data analysis skills are required, along with the ability to meaningfully communicate solutions. Key Responsibilities Liaising with Project Managers and ensuring clients requirements are met Data extraction and processing from Leica applications Terrestrial laser scanning using Leica and SLAM scanners 3D point cloud data registration, quality analysis, and processing; Integrating terrestrial Li DAR with conventional survey and Aerial Survey data; Drafting a variety of survey products based on Li DAR and Aerial Survey data; Floor flatness analysis; Elevator shaft plumbness analysis; Extracting DTMs and surface models from point cloud data; Extracting architectural features from point cloud data Key Qualifications A.
