Marie, the Structural Engineering Intern will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities. What You’ll Do: The Structural Engineering Intern will be part of the Engineering team. You will: Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveys Complete, check, and review technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications Complete preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects (e. g. transportation structures and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings) Assist with tenders, proposals, and cost estimates Participate in public and stakeholder consultation Perform construction inspections Assist with project management and construction administration Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job. Who You Are: You are a Civil Engineering Intern You have 0-3 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN.
