Security Operations Analyst Location: Hybrid / Remote based in Leeds, United Kingdom. Must be able to work out of the office 2-3 days per week. The Role: Blue Voyant UK, are seeking a Security Operations Analyst to help protect our internal systems and people. You will be part of the Corporate Security team tasked with protecting one of the most innovative cyber security companies in the world. You will help investigate and mitigate security incidents and ensure critical business operations continue unhindered. Requirements: Conduct operations in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating, and analyzing computer network intrusions. Conduct event investigation and incident declaration. Ensure events are properly identified, analyzed, and escalated to incidents. Hunt for suspicious activity based on anomalous activity and indicators of compromise from various intelligence feeds and toolsets. Participate in the response, investigation, and resolution of security incidents. Contribute to knowledge base articles for handling medium and high severity incidents. Contribute in the advancement of security policies, procedures, and automation. Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from multiple sources, including security information and event management (SIEM) software, network and host-based intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, and system logs (Windows and Unix), and databases. Separate true threats from false positives using network and log analysis and escalate possible intrusions and attacks. Provide support to incident investigation, handling, and response, including improving incident documentation. Initiate tickets, document, and escalate to higher-level security analysts. Contribute to incident response reporting and policy updates as needed. Perform triage of incoming issues backss the priority, determine risk).
