IET recently appointed the employee-owned content and publishing agency, Redactive Media Group, to develop E+T. We are looking for an Assistant Editor to join the team - an individual with an interest in technology and a passion for communication. E+T is a portfolio that includes a print magazine, newsletters, a website, rich media (podcasts, videos and webinars) and social media. The Assistant Editor will play an important role in developing and delivering all of the above. E+T is highly regarded by IET members and the global engineering and technology community. The bimonthly magazine has a circulation of 125,000 and the website has around a quarter of a million visitors each month - but we are not standing still. It is an exciting time for E+T as the new team at Redactive look to enhance our offering to the IET’s members, particularly with our digital portfolio. Our new Assistant Editor will be an important part of this evolution. Along with enthusiasm and ideas, the new team member will be a ‘digital native’ and know how to use social media to reach a wide audience. A key responsibility will be sourcing and writing the daily news feed that provides the regular flow of original, accurate content across all channels. Other responsibilities will include: Host and present rich media content – including podcasts, webinars and videos Produce additional content for the magazine and digital channels, including occasional features, magazine columns and news pages, analysis and scripts for rich media content Produce careers content for E+T ’s successful job board Help develop and deliver social media channels (Twitter, Linked In and consider launch of others) Maintain a wide-range of key contacts within the engineering and technology.
