Primary Responsibilities Preparation for service including pre-service cleaning, table setting, and communications with other departmentsAttend to assigned tables and ensure that all guests are comfortable and happy with the service provided during their visitGuide customers through their dining experience, make recommendations on menu items according to their preferences, and communicate all dietary restrictions and special requests to the kitchenEnsure that the dining area and bathrooms are clean before, during, and after serviceMaintain tidiness of guest tables throughout service and follow all health and safety requirements Required Skills & Character Traits Time management and ability to work in a fast-past environment Ability to accommodate changes and remain professional at all timesWillingness to help others and work well in a team oriented environmentAttention-to-detailStrong sense of color, proportion, and scaleExcellent problem-solving skillsSolid communication skills, ability to ask for help / guidance when needed, ability to take feedback constructivelyExcellent dexterity / fine motor skillsSelf-motivationAbility to comprehend instructions quicklyPassion for the food and hospitalityWillingness to work weekends and holidaysAbility to stand for long periods of time Preferred Skills Experience in fine dining service Experience in afternoon tea service Job Details 30-40 hours per weekStarting rate: $19-$22/hour, DOE, plus commissions on sales and tipHealth, Dental, and Vision Benefits (must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week)Paid parking/Orca card Position start date: ImmediatelyPowered by JazzHR
