WINDSOR POLICE SERVICE announces openings for the position of SYSTEMS ANALYST - INFRASTRUCTURE SALARY RANGE: Approx. $100,403 - $109,677 annually POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst – Infrastructure, will leverage their skills, experience, leadership and continuous learning as a member the WPS IT Infrastructure team, which has full responsibility for Access Management, Business Continuity, Cloud Management, Data Centres, Database Administration, Disaster Recovery, Email, Identity Management, Infrastructure Support for Enterprise & Business Systems, Infrastructure Architecture, Inter-Agency Services, National and Provincial Police Systems, Networking, Next Generation 911, Security, Storage and Back-Ups, Virtualization, and Vo IP Phone Systems; Primary area of responsibility is to provide infrastructure systems management of the complex WPS network, servers, databases, storage, identity management and authentication, security systems administration (e. g. firewalls, intrusion detection, threat prevention, etc. ), data centre management, disaster recovery and business continuity, communications systems, and secure cloud integration; Secure WPS systems, network and data; Lead and participate on information technology and cyber security project teams; Script and develop automation as required to effectively manage information technology, infrastructure, cloud, communications and security systems; Ensure a continuous and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of cyber-security threats, emerging issues and mitigation strategies; Lead and assist with the research and development of policies, operational plans, operating procedures and technical documentation; Perform analysis and develop recommendations for the continuous improvement and modernization of information technology, infrastructure, cloud, communications and security systems; Liaise with vendors to specify, implement, and support information technology, infrastructure, cloud, communications and security.
