Health Center Nurse: Winter 2023 Camp Alonim is looking for experienced and compassionate Nurses. We are a co-ed sleepaway camp located on a 2,800 acre campus just south of Simi Valley, CA. Job Description: Assess staff and campers' health care needs, utilizing the nursing process to plan, intervene, & evaluate care. Communicate with an interdisciplinary team including but not limited to campers, counselors, Health Center medical staff, Camp Leadership, and parents to maintain the continuum of care. Document medical care and interventions in a timely manner. Prepare, organize, and administer campers' prescribed and over-the-counter medications as needed. Work in the Health Center to provide care to campers, counselors, and staff. Respond to overnight emergencies as needed. Nurses rotate through shifts and are on-call (for emergencies only) for up to 2 nights a week. Specifics: Camp Dates: 12/20 - 12/26 Salary is $1,250. This includes room, board, and access to camp facilities. Nurses are encouraged to participate in activities including climbing ropes courses, horseback riding, hiking, and much more! Significant discounts are available for Health Center Staff with camp-aged children. The Brandeis-Bardin Campus of American Jewish University offers year-round and summer programs.
